Sorry, but no. This book contains ... I would say that girls are only read 14th It has a lot of pieces that pre-teens should not be read. I have a little sister who is ten, and I will not play until at least 14 ... maybe.
Although it includes sexual assault and murder a girl, and some sexual content, these things are not the main theme of the book. The story has more to do with the consequences of these developments and focuses mainly on the dynamics of the family. It depends on their maturity and their understanding, if you are sure you will see the message of the book to understand, then I recommend it, if necessary.
It really depends on preteens, to be honest. If you are mature enough to understand and appreciate the message, then I think it's a nice read, but if you are a little on the immature side, and has problems with references to sexual assault and the consequences of death, then I recommend doing. If you are very sensitive, so it is not your book, but if you are mature enough to overcome in order that reads as phenomenal.
I am reading, and it is a bit graphic at times. But I read about something like a preteen. It depends only on their maturity and sensitivity. There are describing scenes of rape and violence. But the book so far is AWESOME!
I think it depends on the pre-teen, not Gore or scary, but some content is a bit more mature. If you do not, perhaps ask your parents for you to read it first and see if they approve of the content.
I think the national question and the theater can be a bit intense for pre-adolescent readers.
